What is a SQDCPS?

It stands for Safety / Quality / Delivery / Cost / People / Sustainability

  • S – Safety: Accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, safety observations, PPE compliance.

  • Q – Quality: Defects, First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, rework, customer complaints.

  • D – Delivery: On-time delivery, production plan achievement, schedule adherence, OEE.

  • C – Cost: Waste, labour efficiency, material usage, overtime, cost of poor quality.

  • P – People: Attendance, training, skills matrix, engagement, staffing, wellbeing.

  • S – Sustainability: Energy use, waste reduction, recycling, carbon emissions, environmental compliance.

Manufacturing Departments use these headers at Stand-up meetings; usually daily and key stakeholders attend.

It can also be referred to as a War Room or Situation Board; modern technology allows electronic versions with the use of OBEYA software.....
